Looking for the original pixel-art game? Play the classic version (your old saves are still there).

This game needs a keyboard or a game controller, so it won't play on a phone or tablet. The classic version works with touch.

Player 1 (keyboard)

WASD move

Game controllers

Plug in up to four. Press A to join, X magic, RB dodge, B tool, Y bag, LB swap, Start pause.

In the browser, press a button once after the page loads so it notices the controller.

Family combos

Hit a monster with two different kinds of magic (fire, ice, lightning, wind) to set off a combo. Find all seven.

Saving

The game saves every time the family changes area, and from the pause menu. Browser saves stay in this browser on this computer.
